Cabotage insurance

There are two types of insurance regarding cabotage transport:

• Cabotage transport within European Union countries except Germany. The insurance coverage covers the Insured's civil liability arising from the commercial transportation of goods under legally permitted cabotage in European Union countries except Germany. Insurance coverage applies to civil liability incurred in accordance with the applicable regulations of the country in which the cabotage transport is performed. The guarantee sum and the limit for one insured accident are the same as for third party liability insurance in international road traffic.

• Cabotage transport in Germany. The insurance protection covers the civil liability of the Insured resulting from the commercial transport of goods under legally permitted cabotage in Germany. The insurance covers civil liability incurred in accordance with the applicable provisions of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the German Motor Goods Transport Act (GüKG). The minimum guarantee sum for all events is EUR 1,200,000 with a limit of EUR 600,000 per event.
